Melbourne Easter Show (25~27 March 2016)

On the 25-27th March 2016 , a special event will take place at Lawson Poole Reserve. This year’s event will feature musical entertainment, food truck, easter egg hunts, a twilight cinema, amusement rides and fireworks displays. Due to your close proximity to Lawson Poole Reserve, the Melbourne Easter Show Committee would like to make you  aware of the event itself, and let you know that approval was granted by the City of Casey to allow this event to take place. Event Operating Times We will begin our operations at Lawson Poole Reserve from the 22 March, please be aware that noise from the reserve may increase. Our event operating times are from 11:00am-9:00pm Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March 2016. Music will be presented from the main stage and Amusement rides will be operating during these times.

Good Friday Appeal - Kids Day Out (25 March 2016)

Be part of the Good Friday Appeal at the Kids Day Out! The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will be transformed into a wonderland for kids, with a giant roller-skating rink, sports clinics, the popular Teddy Bear Hospital, kids cooking classes, rides, music and dancing and so much more. Kids Day Out is brought to you by the City of Melbourne. Friday 25 March 2016 10am - 6pm Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf  Entry is FREE - You do not need to book or buy tickets. Participation in activities is by donation on the day. Lilydale Lakeside Community Festival 2016 (13/03/2016)

To celebrate the opening of Box Hill Institute Lilydale Lakeside, the Lilydale Lakeside Community Festival will be held on Sunday 13th March 2016. This family-friendly event is FREE to attend and will feature an exciting program of live music, market stalls, children activities and much, much more! Just a handful of the highlights include: Live entertainment from Kate Ceberano and many more! Port Phillip Mussel Festival 2016 (12/03/2016 - 13/03/2016)

Moomba Festival (11~14 March 2016)

A celebrated part of the Melbourne events calendar for 60 years, Moomba will be back with an exciting program of events and family entertainment, making Melbourne the ideal place to be for the Labour Day long weekend. Held over four days, the festival attracts more than one million visitors to the sun-soaked banks of the Yarra to share in the vibrancy and spirit of our much loved city. On the Friday night programming will expand in 2016, with the FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands Grand Final kicking off on the Main Stage from 5:00pm, followed by headliners Alpine at 8:30pm. 11 - 14 March 2016 Moomba’s Main Arena will play host to headline acts including iconic Melbourne bands Alpine, British India and Tim Rogers & The Bamboos, plus an array of incredible Australian music talent. Yarra Valley Chocolaterie - Free Chocolate Egg Hunt (25~27 March 2016)

THE POPULAR EASTER HUNTS RETURN! A free family fun to the Easter weekend. The popular Easter Hunts will take place four times a day on  Good   Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday   at 10am,   12 noon, 2pm and 4pm  (no bookings required) in the Chocolaterie’s picturesque grounds, where Easter Bunnies will help kids aged 12 and under search for a golden token to then claim their complimentary Easter egg. For the grown ups, the Chocolaterie’s Café overlooking sweeping valley views will be offering Easter inspired cakes and tarts, as well as the usual all day menu using ingredients from its own kitchen garden. And for chocolate lovers of all ages, our showroom will be choc-filled with thousands of Easter inspired chocolate creations handcrafted by the European chocolatiers and there’s always delicious house-made ice creams to enjoy.

Whitehorse Global Fiesta (20 March 2016)

Sunday 20 March 2016 12pm-5pm Box Hill Gardens Global Fiesta is Council’s national Harmony Day event and is a celebration of our wonderful, culturally diverse community. Fill the day with free family fun and enjoy mouth-watering cultural cuisine, dance to music from across the globe, and check out the fun local community stalls. There will be cultural games, an Aussie animal farm, and a selection of kids rides. There will be a very special visit from the worldwide favourite cat, Hello Kitty! The festivities will commence with a Smoking Ceremony performed by members of the Wurundjeri Tribe at midday.

Bridge Road Gathering (March 6, 2016)

Kids' Garden Dance Plant (Mar. 5, 2016)

Saturday 05 March 2016,  9.30 am  to  10.30 am Spend a morning planting vegetables and herb seedlings, mulching, watering and of course having fun to music. We will discuss what has been planted and how the garden grows. Children will also take home their own veggie plant in a  decorated pot. This is a free event, suitable for children of all ages. Places are limited to 15 children. Bookings are essential, book now . In the event of a Total Fire Ban or Code Red Fire Danger Day, this event will not go ahead. This event is part of the  Summer in the MC² Community Garden  series.
